Business Development Engineer / BESS Sales Manager – Middle East & Africa

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Business Development Engineer who will act as the BESS Sales Manager for the Middle East & Africa region. The role combines strong technical knowledge of solar PV and battery energy storage systems with proactive business development and sales activities to drive growth of renewable energy solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and pursue new business opportunities in solar PV and BESS across the MEA market.
• Build and maintain relationships with customers, consultants, EPC contractors, developers and other industry stakeholders.
• Conduct site assessments, technical evaluations and feasibility studies for commercial and industrial projects.
• Prepare preliminary system designs and layouts using PVsyst, HelioScope and AutoCAD.
• Develop technical proposals, commercial quotations, system configurations and financial analyses.
• Present designs, energy production estimates, ROI calculations and savings projections to clients.
• Coordinate with engineering, procurement and installation teams to ensure smooth project hand‑over.
• Monitor market trends, emerging technologies, competitor activity and regulatory changes.
• Define and execute sales strategies to expand market presence and achieve revenue targets.
• Represent the company at meetings, industry events and technical seminars.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Renewable Energy Engineering or related field (MBA is a plus).
• Minimum 4 years of experience in industrial/commercial solar, BESS, technical sales or business development.
• Proven track record of achieving sales targets in the C&I renewable energy sector.
• Strong commercial acumen with ability to evaluate project economics, ROI and payback periods.
