Assistant Store Manager (Full-Time)

About the role

Hibbett I City Gear is hiring a full-time Assistant Manager in Lebanon, Missouri. The Assistant Manager assists the Store Manager with overall operations and administrative duties, knows each product area or department, and takes supervisory control when the Store Manager is absent. The role reports to the Store Manager.

Key responsibilities

• Help the Store Manager control store assets and set action plans for selling, restocking, merchandising, ordering and scheduling.
• Take responsibility for the entire store in the Store Manager's absence and supervise employees, including interviewing, training and assigning work.
• Help with recruiting, training and evaluating staff, and guide employees and customers in all departments.
• Keep track of inventory, sales statistics and expenses, and inform the Store Manager of inventory movement and customer trends.
• Deliver excellent customer service, promote merchandise and protect company assets and financial information.
• Perform general administrative duties and follow the company's policies and standards.

Required profile

• Retail experience, preferably in footwear and athletic apparel.
• 1-3 years of customer service experience.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and to manage a team while keeping up with goals and profits.
• Self-starter with strong attention to detail and teamwork.
