Accounts Receivable Accountant

About the role

Anghami is seeking a detail‑oriented Accounts Receivable Accountant to join its finance team in Lebanon. The role will own the full AR cycle, manage invoicing for telecom and platform‑based clients, and ensure accurate multi‑currency cash‑flow tracking.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end invoicing, including usage‑based billing and dual‑currency requirements.
• Track outstanding balances daily and follow up with local and international clients on overdue accounts.
• Build AR aging reports and flag high‑risk variances for the Financial Controller.
• Prepare billed vs. unbilled invoice reports to support revenue recognition.
• Process and track international payments, SWIFT copies, intermediary bank routing, and wire confirmations.
• Compile monthly payment summaries for cash‑flow forecasting.
• Run monthly bank reconciliations across multiple currency accounts.
• Support AP tasks and GL adjustments during month‑end close.
• Bridge Finance, Commercial, and Data teams to ensure usage data aligns with billing.
• Resolve cross‑departmental billing discrepancies and act as point of contact for clients and suppliers.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of AR experience, preferably in telecom, tech, or high‑volume data environments.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration from a recognized Lebanese university.
• Comfortable with enterprise accounting systems such as SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite.
• Strong Excel skills, including pivots, formulas, and dashboards.
• Experience with international wire documentation and SWIFT confirmations.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to spot discrepancies in data‑heavy reports.
• Strong interpersonal skills for communication with technical teams and corporate clients.
