Plant Production Manager – Frozen Chicken Products

About the role

The Plant Production Manager will lead all aspects of production, safety, quality, sanitation and workforce management at a frozen chicken/meat processing facility. You will be responsible for delivering safe, high‑quality products that meet customer specifications while achieving throughput, yield, labor and cost targets.

Key responsibilities

• Direct daily plant operations across production, maintenance, sanitation, quality assurance and logistics to meet schedules and orders.
• Ensure full compliance with local regulations, HACCP plans, SSOPs and other food‑safety certifications.
• Lead, coach and develop shift supervisors, department managers and hourly staff, building a strong talent bench.
• Partner with QA to maintain product quality, traceability and resolve non‑conformances quickly.
• Manage plant budget, capital‑expenditure planning and equipment reliability/maintenance programs.
• Maintain relationships with inspectors, auditors and regulatory bodies during inspections and audits.
• Oversee freezing, cold‑storage and cold‑chain integrity from production through shipping.

Required profile

• 7+ years progressive manufacturing/operations experience, including 3‑5 years as Plant Manager or Senior Operations Manager.
• Direct experience managing a frozen chicken, poultry or meat production plant.
• Strong knowledge of local regulations, HACCP, SSOP and food‑safety systems.
• Proven record improving yield, OEE and labor productivity in a protein‑processing environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Operations Management, Engineering or equivalent experience preferred.
