Factory Manager

About the role

Fujilift is seeking an experienced Factory Manager to lead its elevator manufacturing operations. The role involves overseeing production, managing the factory team, maintaining quality standards, and ensuring timely order completion.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and oversee daily factory operations, including production, assembly and quality control.
• Use SolidWorks to create, review and modify 3D models, assemblies and manufacturing drawings.
• Verify technical drawings, dimensions, specifications and bills of materials before releasing work to production.
• Coordinate with engineering, purchasing and installation teams to ensure products meet project requirements.
• Manage production schedules, staffing and resources to meet delivery deadlines.
• Supervise, train and evaluate factory employees, ensuring clear responsibilities and accountability.
• Monitor material availability and coordinate purchasing to prevent production delays.
• Resolve manufacturing issues and improve production efficiency while reducing waste and rework.
• Ensure finished products meet approved drawings, quality requirements and applicable safety standards.
• Oversee equipment maintenance and maintain a safe, organised working environment.

Required profile

• Proven practical experience using SolidWorks for parts, assemblies and detailed manufacturing drawings.
• Previous experience managing a factory or production department, preferably in elevator or mechanical manufacturing.
• Strong understanding of mechanical fabrication, sheet metal work and assembly processes.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and translate them into clear production instructions.
• Leadership, planning and problem‑solving skills with experience managing production deadlines and resources.
• Degree or diploma in mechanical engineering, manufacturing engineering or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
