Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor

About the role

We are looking for a Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor to lead the mechanical maintenance team at our production plant. The role involves overseeing preventive and corrective maintenance, ensuring equipment reliability, and supporting continuous improvement in a fast‑moving FMCG environment.

Key responsibilities

• Determine daily maintenance priorities and assign tasks to team members in coordination with Team Leaders.
• Assist the Maintenance Manager in establishing and monitoring preventive maintenance plans and schedules for each production line.
• Coordinate with the Storekeeper to guarantee availability of required spare parts and tools.
• Supervise daily patrols, monitor repair and preventive activities, and enforce safety and hygiene standards.
• Analyse equipment performance metrics such as MTBF and MTTR, and generate reports to meet KPI targets.
• Provide rapid response to machine breakdowns, ensuring spare part readiness and minimal production downtime.
• Coach and train technicians on‑the‑job, fostering skill development and adherence to procedures.
• Identify cost‑saving opportunities in spare‑part usage and propose reliability improvement ideas.

Required profile

• Proven experience supervising mechanical maintenance operations in an industrial setting.
• Strong knowledge of preventive maintenance planning and equipment reliability concepts.
• Ability to analyse maintenance data and drive KPI‑based improvements.
• Commitment to safety, hygiene and continuous improvement.
