About the role

Bodar, a contemporary Nikkei fusion restaurant in Tabarja, is seeking a full‑time Chef specialized in Japanese‑Peruvian cuisine. You will lead the kitchen in creating innovative dishes that blend the precision of Japanese techniques with the bold flavors of Peru.

Key responsibilities

  • Design and develop seasonal Nikkei menus that showcase creativity and authenticity.
  • Prepare and plate dishes, ensuring high‑quality presentation and taste.
  • Oversee daily kitchen operations, maintaining efficiency and workflow.
  • Train and mentor kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative environment.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and equipment maintenance standards.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to source premium, unique ingredients.

Required profile

  • Proven expertise in Japanese and Peruvian culinary techniques, including knife work, sushi preparation, and traditional Peruvian cooking.
  • Experience in menu development, food presentation, and sourcing specialty ingredients.
  • Strong kitchen management abilities, including team leadership and staff training.
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and hygiene standards.
  • Creativity, attention to detail, and a passion for culinary innovation.
  • Prior experience in high‑end or fusion restaurants is preferred.
  • Culinary degree or equivalent qualification is a plus.
