Senior SSC GL Accountant

About the role

The Senior SSC GL Accountant will be based in our Beirut office, reporting to the Group Reporting Manager. This senior position supports the Finance Shared Services team and oversees end‑to‑end accounting for more than 30 legal entities across the EMEA region.

Key responsibilities

• Review and post journal entries in line with accounting guidelines.
• Record provisions, accruals and perform FX revaluations for vendors, customers, banks and GL accounts.
• Oversee fixed‑asset depreciation and conduct bank reconciliations for subsidiaries.
• Reconcile vendor and customer balances, intercompany transactions and loans.
• Perform root‑cause analysis on intercompany reconciliations.
• Monthly review and reconciliation of balance‑sheet accounts such as inventory, goods received not invoiced and fixed assets.
• Manage monthly and yearly closing processes, liaising with local finance teams to resolve issues.
• Ensure KPI targets are met and continuously improve business processes.
• Support migration to Microsoft Dynamics 365, test process set‑up and reporting.
• Implement automation tools, assist with compliance reporting and audit activities.
• Handle ad‑hoc projects and process requests as needed.

Required profile

• Senior‑level experience in general‑ledger accounting.
• Proven ability to manage accounting for multiple legal entities.
• Strong understanding of internal controls, segregation of duties and delegation of authority.
• Experience collaborating with local finance teams across regions.

Required skills

• Proficiency with ERP systems, preferably Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365).
• Hands‑on experience in journal entry review, FX revaluation and fixed‑asset depreciation.
• Ability to perform bank, vendor, customer and intercompany reconciliations.
