Senior Fashion Buyer-Manager

About the role

The Senior Fashion Buyer-Manager drives the buying strategy to upgrade the brand mix, sustain revenue and increase profitability while leading a team toward optimal performance and professional growth. This role combines trend analysis, vendor negotiations, assortment planning and cross‑functional collaboration to meet sales, margin and inventory targets.

Key responsibilities

• Define seasonal buying strategies aligned with company vision, brand positioning and sales targets.
• Select, curate and approve collections to ensure relevance, quality and commercial appeal.
• Attract new brands and propose new categories to meet consumer needs.
• Conduct market research and monitor fashion trends, competitor activity and customer insights.
• Develop yearly business and assortment plans and drive KPI achievement (sales, gross margin, sell‑out).
• Negotiate deals, pricing, exclusivity agreements and delivery timelines.
• Set pricing strategy to increase profitability.
• Oversee stock distribution and ensure accurate product mix per flagship.
• Set budget, perform forecast analysis, monitor P&L and propose tactical actions.
• Support digital presence and e‑commerce growth initiatives.
• Coordinate with visual merchandising, marketing, operations, distribution centre and legal teams.

Required profile

• Proven experience in fashion buying and merchandising at a senior level.
• Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and develop a buying team.
• Solid financial acumen with budgeting and P&L responsibility.
• Experience in market research, trend analysis and assortment planning.
• Ability to collaborate across multiple departments and stakeholders.
