Senior Accounts Receivable Accountant

About the role

The Senior Accounts Receivable Accountant ensures that customer billing, collections, cash application and receivables accounting are performed accurately and on time. This position supports working capital management, maintains strong customer relationships, and works closely with internal teams and an outsourced accounting provider.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end accounts receivable processes, issuing invoices accurately and promptly.
• Monitor customer accounts, collections and outstanding balances to optimise working capital.
• Reconcile customer accounts, resolve billing discrepancies and coordinate with stakeholders.
• Track credit limits and payment terms, escalating potential credit risks.
• Coordinate cash‑application activities and ensure proper receipt recording.
• Support revenue recognition by monitoring acceptance, billing milestones and deferred revenue.
• Work with the outsourced accounting service provider to guarantee timely AR processing.
• Assist month‑end close with AR reconciliations, bad‑debt assessments and reporting.
• Prepare schedules and documentation for external audits.
• Identify and implement improvements to the order‑to‑cash process, internal controls and system efficiency.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• 4–6 years of experience in accounts receivable or general accounting.
• Experience with ERP systems, preferably SAP.
• Strong Microsoft Excel proficiency.
• Background in a multinational, technology, manufacturing or industrial environment is a plus.
