Sales Supervisor & Manager – Food Products (West Africa)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Sales Supervisor/Manager to lead our food products business across West Africa. You will be responsible for driving sales growth, managing key accounts, and building strong distributor relationships while aligning with company objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement sales strategies, business plans, forecasts and budgets.
• Achieve monthly, quarterly and annual sales, revenue, profitability and market‑share targets.
• Identify new business opportunities, customers, territories and distribution channels.
• Manage and strengthen relationships with distributors, wholesalers, retailers and modern‑trade accounts.
• Lead, coach and evaluate the sales team, setting clear objectives and development plans.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activity and customer needs, taking corrective actions as required.
• Negotiate commercial agreements, pricing, promotions and contracts while ensuring profitability.
• Ensure effective territory management, product availability and trade‑marketing execution.
• Coordinate with Marketing, Supply Chain, Production, Customer Service and Finance for accurate forecasting and delivery.
• Manage sales budgets, trade spending, credit, collections and overall commercial performance.
• Analyze sales reports, profitability and market intelligence to support strategic decisions.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, pricing guidelines and legal requirements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, Commerce or related field.
• 6–10 years of FMCG sales experience, including 3–5 years in a sales manager or similar leadership role.
• Proven track record managing distributors, key accounts and multi‑channel sales operations.
