Sales Manager – FMCG (Ivory Coast)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Sales Manager to lead our fast‑moving consumer goods (FMCG) business in Côte d’Ivoire. The role will drive sales performance, manage key accounts and distribution partners, and ensure strong market execution across modern and traditional trade channels.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement the sales strategy for the Ivory Coast market.
• Achieve monthly, quarterly and annual sales targets.
• Build and grow relationships with distributors, wholesalers, retailers and key accounts.
• Expand product availability and visibility across all sales channels.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activity, pricing and customer behaviour.
• Lead, train and motivate the sales team to improve performance.
• Ensure proper execution of trade promotions and in‑store activities.
• Collaborate with marketing and brand teams on product launches and campaigns.
• Prepare sales forecasts, budgets and performance reports.
• Control receivables, set customer credit limits and follow up collections.
• Identify new business opportunities and propose growth initiatives.
• Maintain compliance with company policies, pricing structures and commercial guidelines.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales or a related field.
• 5–8 years of sales experience in the FMCG sector.
• Previous experience in Côte d’Ivoire or West Africa is strongly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of FMCG distribution, retail channels and trade marketing.
• Proven ability to manage distributors and sales teams.
• Excellent negotiation, leadership and analytical skills.
• Fluent in French; English is an advantage.
• Strong reporting abilities.
