Project Officer – Humanitarian Coordination

About the role

The Project Officer will coordinate day‑to‑day activities of a humanitarian project implemented by a local partner in Tyre, Lebanon. This role ensures that mental health, sexual and reproductive health, and protection services are delivered as an integrated response to support conflict‑affected women and girls.

Key responsibilities

• Lead daily coordination of the project, monitoring progress against workplans, budgets and donor requirements.
• Serve as the main liaison with the implementing partner, conducting regular monitoring visits and providing technical guidance.
• Track indicators, identify risks, and propose corrective actions to keep the project on schedule.
• Coordinate group cash transfers, ensuring compliance with SOPs and accurate financial documentation.
• Work with MEAL teams to ensure data quality, reporting, and compliance with monitoring tools.
• Support partner capacity building through coaching, training and technical assistance.
• Represent IRC in coordination forums, workshops and meetings with UN agencies, NGOs and government counterparts.

Required profile

• 3‑4 years of experience with an NGO or international organization coordinating local partners.
• Demonstrated knowledge of the South Lebanon context and humanitarian sector.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks.
• Fluency in Arabic and English.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
