Officer, Strategic Partnerships and Resource Mobilisation

About the role

The Regional Officer, Strategic Partnerships and Resource Mobilisation will support the IFRC’s MENA Regional Office in strengthening external engagement with donors, partners and governments across the Middle East and North Africa. Reporting to the Head of Strategic Partnerships and Resource Mobilisation, the role focuses on the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) and aims to secure resources for humanitarian programmes.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and enhance IFRC’s relationships with GCC government donors, humanitarian funds, foundations and private‑sector partners.
• Provide end‑to‑end operational, logistical and coordination support for donor engagement and partnership initiatives.
• Facilitate bilateral and multilateral engagements around thematic or operational contexts.
• Collaborate with the regional SPRM team and the global SPRM network to align strategies and reporting.
• Ensure timely delivery of resource mobilisation activities in line with IFRC’s strategic objectives.

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience in coordinating external engagement with donors and partners in the MENA region.
• Strong understanding of GCC government structures, humanitarian funding mechanisms and private‑sector partnership models.
• Ability to manage operational and logistical aspects of partnership programmes.
