Key Account Supervisor

About the role

The Key Account Supervisor manages and develops relationships with key customers, ensures sales targets are met and maintains strong partnerships. The role covers supervising key account activities, monitoring sales performance and coordinating with internal departments to deliver excellent customer service.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and maintain strong relationships with assigned key accounts and achieve sales, distribution and profitability targets.
• Develop and implement account plans to grow sales and strengthen business relationships.
• Visit key customers regularly to understand their needs and identify new opportunities.
• Monitor customer sales, stock levels, orders and product availability.
• Negotiate and follow up on promotions, displays, listings and commercial agreements within approved guidelines, and check that they are implemented correctly.
• Monitor competitors, market trends, pricing and promotions, and give regular feedback to management.
• Analyze sales reports and recommend improvements to account performance.
• Follow up on orders, deliveries, payments, claims and operational issues, and handle customer complaints.
• Coordinate with Sales, Marketing, Logistics, Finance and other departments.
• Supervise and guide sales representatives or merchandisers assigned to key accounts, when applicable.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and approved commercial terms.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales or a related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in sales, preferably in Key Account Management or FMCG.
• Strong understanding of the FMCG market and retail environment.
• Proven experience managing customer relationships and achieving sales targets.
• Good command of English and Arabic; French is an advantage.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills.
• Good analytical, problem-solving, organizational and time-management skills.
