Junior Finance Officer – FMCG & Food & Beverage

About the role

Amaken is looking for a Junior Finance Officer to support its finance department in the fast‑moving consumer goods (FMCG) and food‑and‑beverage operations in Gabon. The role will assist with daily accounting tasks, cash control, supplier reconciliation and inventory‑related financial reporting, ensuring accurate records and timely insights.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor daily sales, cash collections, POS reports and bank deposits.
• Verify supplier invoices, follow up on payments and reconcile supplier accounts.
• Coordinate inventory and stock‑control activities with operations, warehouse, purchasing and branch teams.
• Review stock movements, wastage reports, transfers and cost of goods sold (COGS).
• Monitor petty‑cash reports and validate supporting documentation.
• Support month‑end closing, including reconciliations, expense tracking and financial reporting.
• Track operational and financial expenses, reporting discrepancies or missing documentation.
• Ensure compliance with internal finance procedures, company policies and control processes.
• Provide administrative and operational support to the finance team as required.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or a related field.
• 2–4 years of finance experience, preferably in FMCG, retail, restaurant or F&B industries.
• Fluency in French (mandatory) and good command of English (advantage).
• Strong attention to detail, high accuracy and ability to work under pressure.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with accounting software and ERP systems.
• Ability to work with POS reports, invoices, supplier statements and financial records.
• Basic knowledge of food costing, stock variance analysis and supplier reconciliation.
