International Logistics Officer

About the role

The International Logistics Officer will manage and coordinate international shipments by air and sea, ensuring timely, cost‑effective, and compliant movement of goods across markets. This role bridges suppliers, freight forwarders, banks, and internal teams.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate end‑to‑end sea and air shipments, from booking to delivery, including container allocation and consolidation.
• Obtain and evaluate freight quotations, negotiate rates, and monitor freight costs, demurrage, detention and other charges.
• Prepare, verify and distribute shipping documents (invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, certificates of origin, etc.) and ensure customs compliance.
• Handle banking documentation for trade transactions, letters of credit, documentary collections and intercompany invoicing.
• Maintain shipment trackers, report on freight performance, and identify cost‑saving opportunities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, International Business or related field.
• 3–6 years of experience in international logistics, freight forwarding or supply chain operations.
• Practical experience with both sea and air freight and knowledge of import/export regulations.
• Experience coordinating trade‑related banking documentation and intercompany shipments is preferred.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Dynamics AX / Axapta (or similar ERP systems).
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
