Area Operations Manager

About the role

The Area Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the day‑to‑day operations of stores and warehouses within an assigned region, ensuring smooth processes, KPI achievement and compliance with company standards.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare stores for launch, ensuring all operational requirements are met.
• Manage warehouses and stores to achieve operational objectives, resource utilization and business continuity.
• Oversee field processes such as cash reconciliation, inventory handling, replenishment, FEFO, expiry checks and transfers.
• Coordinate cycle counts, stock‑takes and investigate variances.
• Review and approve picker and dispatcher schedules to match demand.
• Monitor and improve the order cycle in partnership with Fleet Management.
• Work with Technical teams to standardize functions, provide system input and drive automation.
• Report KPI‑based performance, identify gaps and implement corrective actions.
• Recruit, onboard and train warehouse staff and manage freelancer payroll.
• Resolve operational issues with Marketing, Demand Planning, Commercial, HR, Fleet and Technical stakeholders.

Required profile

• 8‑12 years of experience in a similar operations management role.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or an equivalent field.
