Head Waiter

About the role

A restaurant in Downtown Beirut is looking for an experienced, professional Head Waiter to lead its service team on a full-time basis. The role ensures an excellent dining experience for every guest and suits someone who is confident, organized, customer-focused and able to lead a team during busy service periods.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate service staff and assign them tables and tasks
• Maintain high standards of food and beverage service and enforce hygiene, safety and service standards
• Welcome guests and monitor their satisfaction, addressing requests or concerns professionally
• Coordinate with the kitchen and bar for smooth, timely service and verify order accuracy, presentation and delivery
• Train, guide and motivate service staff and new team members
• Ensure dining areas are clean and properly prepared, and assist the Restaurant Manager with daily operations
• Manage busy shifts efficiently and positively

Required profile

• Minimum 6 years of experience in this role
• Strong knowledge of restaurant service standards
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities, good customer service and problem-solving skills
• Professional appearance, positive attitude and ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Fluency in English; knowledge of other languages is a plus
• Flexibility to work varying hours, including 12-hour shifts, weekends and holidays
