Cash Van Sales Representative

About the role

The Cash Van Sales Representative will operate a company van to service a daily route of retail and wholesale customers in the St Andrews area. This full‑time, on‑site position combines direct sales, cash handling and inventory management to ensure product availability and high customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Visit assigned customers each day, promote products and process cash sales.
• Issue invoices, collect cash and perform end‑of‑shift cash reconciliation.
• Load and unload goods, organise inventory in the van and monitor stock levels.
• Maintain accurate documentation for deliveries, returns and inventory movements.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with retailers, identify new sales opportunities along the route and follow up on customer feedback.
• Keep the vehicle clean, road‑worthy and compliant with safety and company procedures.
• Report sales performance and market insights to the supervisor.

Required profile

• Proven experience in field, van or route sales, preferably in FMCG or related sectors.
• Strong customer service and communication abilities.
• Basic numeracy and accurate cash‑handling skills.
• Valid commercial driving licence with a safe driving record.
• Ability to work independently, manage time effectively and follow structured routes.
• Physical capability to load, unload and handle goods throughout the workday.
• Familiarity with handheld devices or basic sales software/POS systems is an advantage.
• High reliability, honesty and attention to detail.
• High school diploma or equivalent; additional sales or logistics training is beneficial.
