Assistant Tax Manager

About the role

KPMG Lebanon is looking for an experienced Assistant Tax Manager to lead tax advisory and compliance engagements for a diverse portfolio of local and multinational clients. The role combines technical tax expertise with team leadership and business development responsibilities.

Key responsibilities

• Manage tax advisory and compliance projects, review returns, filings and tax provisions, and advise on direct and indirect tax matters.
• Conduct tax health checks, support clients during audits, and prepare technical memoranda and client deliverables.
• Leverage data analytics, automation and AI tools to improve efficiency and quality of tax processes.
• Oversee multiple engagements, monitor budgets, profitability and resource allocation, and coordinate with other KPMG service lines.
• Supervise, coach and develop Tax Associates and Senior Associates, reviewing their work and providing feedback.
• Build and maintain client relationships, contribute to proposals, identify cross‑selling opportunities and support thought‑leadership activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Law or related field; professional certification (CPA, ACCA, CTA, ADIT) preferred.
• Minimum 8 years of tax advisory and compliance experience, preferably in a Big Four or reputable tax consultancy.
• Strong knowledge of Lebanese tax regulations; experience with multinational and cross‑border tax matters is an advantage.
• Proven ability to manage client engagements and lead teams.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
• Familiarity with data analytics, workflow automation and AI‑enabled productivity tools.
