University Driver – Beirut Campus

About the role

The Auxiliary Services Office at the Lebanese American University is seeking a reliable driver to support transport needs across the Beirut campus. The role involves moving university executives, faculty, staff, students, and guests, as well as handling mail and shuttle operations.

Key responsibilities

• Provide transport services for eligible LAU community members to various destinations.
• Assist with the early‑morning bus shuttle, coordinating with the shuttle provider and answering inquiries.
• Deliver and collect mail, parcels, and press releases between LAU offices, external partners, and the government post office.
• Pick up university‑requested goods when suppliers cannot deliver.
• Maintain the assigned vehicle (fuel, washing, routine inspections, oil level checks).
• Arrange yearly mechanic inspections and handle any accidents, malfunctions, or traffic violations.
• Submit accurate daily task records and provide backup support as needed.

Required profile

• Baccalaureate II Diploma or Technical Diploma (BT3) with at least 3 years of professional driving experience, or a Brevet with at least 6 years.
• Valid public driving license.
• Thorough knowledge of Lebanese territory and proficiency with WhatsApp and Google Maps.
• Basic written and oral English.
• Willingness to work weekends, holidays, and occasional overtime.
