Sustainability Coordinator (Campus Operations)

About the role

The Sustainability Coordinator leads the implementation of campus‑wide sustainability initiatives, overseeing the daily operations of USEK’s Material Recovery Facility (MRF) and ensuring that environmental policies are translated into concrete actions.

Key responsibilities

• Directly supervise MRF staff, manage schedules, and monitor performance.
• Coordinate waste‑management, recycling, energy‑ and water‑efficiency, and mobility programs across the campus.
• Collect, consolidate, and maintain sustainability data from MRF operations, campus activities, and student projects.
• Support the Sustainability Manager with KPI tracking, SDG alignment, and ESG reporting.
• Facilitate faculty sustainability champions and guide student involvement in living‑lab projects and volunteer activities.
• Serve as the primary operational liaison between the Sustainability Office, MRF staff, and academic/administrative units, preparing routine updates and reports.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in environmental studies, sustainability, environmental management or a related field (preferred).
• At least 4 years of relevant work experience.
• Strong knowledge of operational sustainability practices, campus management, and basic ESG/SDG frameworks.
• Excellent organizational, problem‑solving, and communication abilities.
