Senior Mechanical Engineer (Congo)

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead the mechanical aspects of large‑scale construction projects in Congo. The role involves overseeing MEP execution, ensuring design compliance, and coordinating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver projects on time and within quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee execution of mechanical works on major construction sites.
• Supervise and coordinate all site activities related to Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems.
• Review and coordinate mechanical design drawings for compliance and constructability.
• Support preparation, review, and approval of mechanical design documents and technical submittals.
• Collaborate with procurement to source, evaluate, and select mechanical equipment and materials.
• Manage procurement schedules to ensure timely delivery of systems and components.
• Ensure adherence to project specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations.
• Provide technical guidance to site teams and subcontractors.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in mechanical engineering on large‑scale construction projects.
• Proven experience in mechanical design review, project execution, site supervision, and procurement.
• Strong background in MEP works and design coordination.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem‑solving abilities.
• Willingness to work across various locations in Africa.
