Senior Fullstack Developer (Tech Lead) – Field Service Platform

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Fullstack Developer to act as Tech Lead for our core Field Service Management platform. You will own the product’s technical direction, transition development from an external provider to an internal team, and build scalable systems that enable operational growth.

Key responsibilities

• Take ownership of the platform’s architecture, roadmap and ongoing development.
• Lead the hand‑over from outsourced developers and ensure a smooth internal transition.
• Analyse the existing codebase, identify technical debt and define improvement plans.
• Design and implement scalable backend services for work orders, scheduling, technician tracking and related workflows.
• Build and maintain REST APIs with future readiness for GraphQL.
• Define system architecture that is reliable, secure, modular and ready for expansion.
• Design, optimise and maintain PostgreSQL schemas, queries and indexes.
• Implement asynchronous processing (queues, background jobs, workers) to support scale.
• Manage integrations with internal tools, third‑party APIs and webhooks.
• Collaborate with frontend engineers (React/Next.js) and contribute to CI/CD pipelines and containerised deployments.
• Mentor and lead an internal development team, shaping engineering standards and hiring needs.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of software engineering experience, with senior‑level full‑stack or tech‑lead responsibilities.
• Strong background in backend engineering and system architecture.
• Proven ability to lead teams through a transition from outsourced to internal development.
