Senior Driver

About the role

The World Health Organization is seeking a Senior Driver to provide reliable and secure transportation services for the Head of the WHO country office, authorized staff, and visitors. The role supports field visits, airport pickups, and the safe delivery of documents and equipment across the country.

Key responsibilities

• Drive office vehicles for senior staff, field missions, and official visits.
• Receive and escort airport arrivals, assisting with immigration and customs as needed.
• Maintain vehicle documentation, including insurance, logs, first‑aid kit, and spare parts.
• Perform routine vehicle upkeep: oil changes, tyre checks, brake inspections, washing, and arrange major repairs.
• Complete monthly vehicle data forms and report any incidents or accidents.
• Provide clerical and general office assistance to staff when required.

Required profile

• Secondary education or equivalent and a valid driving licence.
• Minimum two years of professional driving experience with a clean record.
• Basic mechanics certificate and first‑aid training are desirable.
• Intermediate English and expert Arabic language skills.
• Demonstrated teamwork, cultural sensitivity, and results‑orientation.

What we offer

• Annual net base salary of USD 31,604 (subject to statutory deductions).
