Senior Accountant

About the role

We are seeking a detail‑oriented Senior Accountant to manage core accounting functions, ensure compliance with financial regulations, and support accurate financial reporting. The role involves close collaboration with internal departments, external auditors, and regulatory bodies.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and verify the accuracy of general ledger entries and resolve discrepancies.
• Participate in audits, cost reporting, and tax filings (VAT, salary tax, non‑resident tax, NSSF, income tax) within set deadlines.
• Prepare and submit periodic financial reports.
• Coordinate legal documentation for NSSF compliance with legal advisors and NSSF representatives.
• Liaise with banks for routine transactions and documentation.
• Execute daily cash closing in line with company policies.
• Process intercompany transactions and perform reconciliations.
• Manage the fixed‑assets register and calculate yearly depreciation.
• Support external audit processes by preparing required schedules and documentation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Professional certification such as CPA, CMA, ACCA, or CIA is a plus.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of taxation and NSSF regulations.
• Excellent analytical and organizational abilities.
