Senior Accountant

About the role

We are seeking a detail‑oriented Senior Accountant to manage core accounting functions, ensure regulatory compliance, and support accurate financial reporting. The role involves close collaboration with internal teams, external auditors, and regulatory bodies.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and verify the accuracy of general ledger entries and resolve discrepancies.
• Participate in audits, cost reporting, and tax filings (VAT, payroll tax, non‑resident tax, NSSF, income tax) and meet all deadlines.
• Prepare and submit periodic financial reports.
• Handle legal documentation for NSSF compliance in coordination with legal advisors.
• Liaise with banks for routine transactions and documentation.
• Execute daily cash closing in line with company policies.
• Manage the fixed assets register and calculate yearly depreciation.
• Support external audit processes by providing required schedules and documentation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Professional certifications such as CPA, CMA, ACCA, or CIA are a plus.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of taxation and NSSF regulations.
• Excellent analytical and organizational abilities.
