Regional Commercial Director – Middle East

About the role

We are seeking a Regional Commercial Director to lead our Middle East operations for Al Rifai & Souchet. The role covers Syria, Iraq and Jordan, with the potential to expand into additional regional markets. You will combine strategic vision with hands‑on execution while coordinating retail and sales teams and aligning closely with the management team in Lebanon.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement commercial strategies for each market.
• Manage and motivate retail and sales teams across the region.
• Increase the number of retail points, stores, counters and shop‑in‑shop concepts.
• Build FMCG distribution networks, key accounts, supermarkets, wholesale and regional partners.
• Monitor sales performance, margins, stock rotation, promotions, pricing and customer experience.
• Track P&L, budgets, forecasts and commercial results by country.
• Lead, coach and structure local teams, distributors and operational partners.
• Ensure strong brand execution for both Al Rifai and Souchet.
• Identify new business opportunities and support regional expansion.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing retail and sales teams.
• Strong background in retail points of sale and/or FMCG distribution channels.
• Solid knowledge of the Middle East market, especially Syria, Iraq and Jordan.
• Experience handling distributors, stores, key accounts and commercial partners.
• Good financial understanding, including margins, budgets and P&L.
• Willingness to travel frequently and be present on‑site in the region.
• Fluency in Arabic and English; French is a plus.
