Proposal and New Business Development Coordinator

About the role

The Proposal and New Business Development Coordinator supports Save the Children International Lebanon in securing new funding and strengthening donor relationships. Reporting to the New Business Development Senior Manager, the role works closely with Awards, Programme Operations, Programme Development & Quality, MEAL, Finance and external stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the NBD Senior Manager with donor landscape analysis, pipeline monitoring and market intelligence to identify and prioritize funding opportunities.
• Track upcoming funding calls, donor engagement actions, direct leads and proposal development stages, ensuring timely follow‑up with relevant teams.
• Support early capture planning for priority opportunities, coordinating donor intelligence, competitor analysis, partner mapping and evidence requirements.
• Maintain an up‑to‑date funding tracker and analyse proposal submissions, success rates, pipeline health and funding gaps.
• Prepare donor, member and stakeholder briefings ahead of engagement meetings.
• Participate in donor and stakeholder visits, providing post‑visit follow‑up and action tracking.
• Ensure all NBD tools, dashboards and records are consistently updated and data‑ready.
• Coordinate with cross‑functional teams to gather information for accurate donor intelligence and proposal positioning.
• Support the development of high‑value or complex proposals, drawing on global, regional and national expertise to ensure high‑quality submissions.

Required profile

• Experience in business development, donor liaison or proposal development within the humanitarian or non‑profit sector.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to manage multiple tracking systems.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, with the capacity to produce clear briefings and reports.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, especially during major humanitarian emergencies.
• Child Safeguarding Level 3 clearance, as the role involves regular contact with children and young people.
