Project Associate – Public Health

About the role

The Public Health Unit of the International Organization for Migration (IOM) in Lebanon is seeking a Project Associate to support the implementation and monitoring of public health projects. Working under the Head of Programmes and the National Project Officer, the role combines technical and administrative tasks to ensure effective project delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in the implementation and monitoring of public health project activities.
• Retrieve, compile, analyse and present data on public health projects.
• Monitor project budgets, verify fund availability and update budget information.
• Coordinate administrative actions with internal units and external partners.
• Draft status reports, identify operational challenges and suggest remedial actions.
• Prepare correspondence, reports, briefing notes, graphics and statistical tables.
• Respond to information requests, maintain project files and support meetings and workshops.
• Participate in coordination meetings, field visits and stakeholder engagements.
• Monitor implementing partners and report delays or non‑compliance.
• Provide guidance and training to junior staff and perform other relevant duties.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in public health, nursing, health sciences or related field with at least three years of relevant experience, or a high school diploma with five years of experience.
• Experience in implementing, monitoring and reporting on public health or humanitarian programmes, including work with migrants, refugees or other vulnerable groups.
• Proven ability to collect, verify and present programme data and to prepare technical documentation.
• Experience liaising with governmental authorities, UN agencies, NGOs and other partners.
• Prior experience with international humanitarian organisations in a multicultural setting is an advantage.
