Programme Coordinator – MENA Region (Lebanon)

About the role

The German Red Cross is looking for an experienced Programme Coordinator for the MENA region, based in Beirut. The role will serve as the primary regional programme function within the GRC Lebanon office, supporting country teams across the Middle East and North Africa in designing and implementing humanitarian projects.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic, programme and partnership advice to GRC Heads of Office and Delegates.
• Support country teams in developing and executing targeted project designs.
• Offer operational back‑stopping and emergency surge support when required.
• Assist in contextualising GRC policies and procedures for the MENA context.
• Coordinate closely with the Head of Office Lebanon and GRC headquarters to align regional priorities.

Required profile

• Relevant experience in programme coordination within humanitarian or development settings.
• Strong knowledge of the MENA region and its humanitarian landscape.
• Ability to advise and collaborate with multiple country teams and partners.
• Excellent analytical, communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
