Operations Manager

About the role

BanoPuratos is seeking an Operations Manager to lead and shape the operational strategy across its manufacturing footprint in the Middle East. Based in Bechemoun, Lebanon, you will drive performance across quality, health & safety, service, cost and people pillars for a fast‑growing joint‑venture.

Key responsibilities

• Lead operations for sites in Sharjah (UAE), upcoming Dammam (Saudi Arabia), Jordan and distribution activities across seven countries.
• Prepare, coordinate and monitor all Capex budgets, ensuring financial alignment and control.
• Develop and execute a vision for operations, translating it into actions that improve quality, reduce customer complaints, and maintain required certifications.
• Continuously improve health, safety and environmental performance, supporting carbon‑neutrality and water‑balance goals.
• Enhance service levels through stronger S&OP processes, inventory optimisation and customer delivery performance.
• Embed a continuous‑improvement mindset to achieve cost targets, productivity metrics and launch cost‑saving initiatives such as Project DRIVE.
• Implement shop‑floor engagement plans, training programmes and leadership development to build a high‑performing team.
• Oversee equipment selection and installation, and ensure robust systems, procedures and financial controls are in place.

Required profile

• Strategic orientation with strong business acumen and deep understanding of manufacturing operations.
• Proven experience managing multi‑site, multi‑country operations in the food or ingredient industry.
• Ability to lead cross‑functional teams and drive alignment across quality, HSE, service, cost and people initiatives.
• Experience in Capex planning, S&OP management and continuous‑improvement programmes.
