Junior Accountant

About the role

The Junior Accountant will support the finance team with day‑to‑day accounting activities, ensuring accurate record‑keeping and compliance with internal quality standards. This position is ideal for a detail‑oriented individual looking to develop accounting expertise in a dynamic environment.

Key responsibilities

• Review and verify daily transactions, attaching supporting documents such as invoices and receipts before data entry.
• Enter all daily transactions (expenses, bank deposits, transfers, purchases, shipping charges) into the appropriate accounting software.
• Organise and file accounting documents and related attachments.
• Review, verify and correct monthly purchase records and financial statements as needed.
• Post transactions between software modules and reconcile all monetary accounts, including banks, petty cash and transitory collections.
• Prepare and submit a daily activity report to the supervisor.
• Provide recommendations on resource usage and disbursements.
• Participate in the Medicals International Quality Management System in line with ISO 9001:2008 standards.
• Perform any other accounting‑related tasks assigned by the supervisor.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 0–2 years of experience in accounting or a similar role.
• Basic knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and organizational abilities.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Strong communication skills.
