Junior Accountant

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Junior Accountant to join our back‑office team supporting operations in the United States, Germany, China and the MENA region. The role is based in Jounieh/Harissa, Lebanon and follows the American Eastern Time zone.

Key responsibilities

• Post and process journal entries to record all business transactions.
• Assist with accounts payable: process invoices, prepare payments and reconcile vendor accounts.
• Assist with accounts receivable: generate customer invoices, track payments and follow up on overdue accounts.
• Support general ledger activities, including preparing journal entries and reconciling balance‑sheet accounts.
• Prepare bank, credit‑card and other reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
• Update financial data in databases to ensure accuracy and availability.
• Help senior accountants with monthly, quarterly and annual financial closing.
• Participate in other accounting projects as needed.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• 2‑3 years of experience in an accounting role.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills and fluent English (verbal, reading, writing).
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with QuickBooks.
• Familiarity with SAP.
