Junior Accountant

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Junior Accountant to join our back‑office team supporting operations in the United States, Germany, China and the MENA region. The role is based in Jounieh/Harissa, Lebanon and works on the American Eastern Time schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Post and process journal entries to record all business transactions.
• Assist with accounts payable: process invoices, prepare payments and reconcile vendor accounts.
• Assist with accounts receivable: generate customer invoices, track payments and follow up on overdue accounts.
• Support general ledger activities, including journal preparation and balance‑sheet reconciliations.
• Prepare bank, credit‑card and other reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
• Update financial data in databases for accurate, real‑time reporting.
• Help with monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting and closing activities.
• Assist senior accountants on various accounting projects and year‑end closings.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• 2–3 years of practical accounting experience.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and analytical skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Proficient verbal, reading and writing skills in English.
• Positive attitude with a willingness to learn.
