IT Security Officer

About the role

GlobeMed Group, the leading healthcare benefits management company in the MENA region, is seeking an IT Security Officer to lead and maintain its information security program. The role will ensure the confidentiality, integrity and availability of the company’s data in line with ISO 27001 and ISO 20000 standards.

Key responsibilities

• Establish and maintain a documented Information Security Management System (ISMS) compliant with ISO/IEC 27001:2022.
• Report ISMS performance to management and coordinate management reviews.
• Evaluate new security technologies and support business initiatives.
• Implement corrective and preventive actions for identified non‑conformities.
• Conduct vulnerability scanning, assessment and remediation using tools such as Qualys Guard and Nessus.
• Manage security tools including Web Application Firewall, NGFW, IPS, WAF, SIEM and EDR solutions.
• Monitor networks and systems for breaches, investigate incidents and lead response actions.
• Oversee access control, identity and privilege management, and coordinate secure configuration and patch management with IT teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Communication Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems or related field.
• 3‑7 years of experience in information security or related roles.
• Professional security certification such as CISSP or CISM.
• Proven ability to handle security incidents and conduct audits.

Required skills

• ISO 27001 and ISO 20000 standards knowledge.
• Security vulnerability tools: Qualys Guard, Nessus, Accunetics.
• Security solutions: DLP, EDR, O365 security, Email Security.
• Network security devices: Web Application Firewall, NGFW, IPS, WAF.
• Monitoring and response tools: SIEM, EDR platforms.
• Access control, identity and privilege management, patch management.
