IP/MPLS, IXP & IGW Designer (Damascus)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced IP/MPLS, IXP & IGW Designer to lead the design of a high‑performance core network, Internet Exchange Point and International Gateway solutions. The role is based in Damascus and involves creating scalable, resilient architectures that meet multi‑vendor and telecom standards.

Key responsibilities

• Design MPLS backbone solutions including BGP, IS‑IS/OSPF, Segment Routing, MPLS‑TE and L2/L3 VPN services.
• Produce high‑level and low‑level design documents (HLD/LLD) for IP/MPLS core domains.
• Define QoS, traffic classification, marking and queuing models.
• Architect EVPN, multicast, service chaining and high‑availability mechanisms on the MPLS backbone.
• Design IXP infrastructure, peering fabric, VLAN segmentation and route‑server policies.
• Coordinate peering relationships with international carriers and CDN providers.
• Develop International Gateway architecture, redundancy, DDoS protection and security integration.
• Perform routing topology studies, traffic flow analysis and capacity planning.
• Validate multi‑vendor interoperability and support implementation teams during integration.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Telecommunications, Network Engineering or Computer Science.
• Minimum 8 years of experience designing and implementing IP/MPLS core networks.
• Proven track record with large‑scale IXP and international gateway projects.
• Strong knowledge of telecom standards and best practices for resiliency and convergence.
