Internal Audit Associate

About the role

The Internal Audit Associate will support the internal audit team at Azadea Group, a leading lifestyle retail company operating over 700 stores across the Middle East and Africa. The role involves executing field work, preparing audit documentation, and reporting findings to help improve the company’s policies and procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Compose comprehensive audit tests and reports in line with audit principles and standards.
• Prepare internal communications, spreadsheets, matrices and related documents.
• Track audit issues and follow up on outstanding tasks to ensure timely resolution.
• Identify, investigate and rectify data errors to maintain information accuracy.
• Coordinate with staff and departments to extract and analyse necessary data.
• Monitor the precision, timeliness and relevance of financial and internal control information delivered to audit management.
• Collaborate with internal audit team members to conduct fieldwork and assess project risks.
• Contribute to work‑plan development, risk assessment and audit program design.
• Prepare presentations on risk, internal control and audit topics as required.
• Maintain working papers that adequately document performed procedures.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Professional qualification (CIA, CPA, ACCA) is a plus or willingness to pursue one.
• 0–2 years of experience in a similar audit role; retail experience is advantageous.
• Fluency in English.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Office.
• Basic knowledge of IT and auditing.
