Health Consultant

About the role

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) is seeking a Health Consultant to support the Public Health Unit (PHU) in delivering and monitoring health interventions. The consultant will help strengthen access to essential health services, improve quality and continuity of care, and enhance community‑based public health preparedness.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute a coordination, implementation, monitoring, and follow‑up plan for assigned PHU interventions, including Community‑Based Event Surveillance (CBES) and other health activities.
• Prepare monthly progress reports summarising implementation status, beneficiary reach, service utilisation, referral pathways, surveillance and outreach outcomes, key achievements, challenges and recommendations.
• Maintain coordination records and follow‑up reports on healthcare interventions covering eligibility verification, case review, approvals, referrals, case management and continuity of care.
• Consolidate and verify programme data, databases and monitoring records, ensuring data quality, completeness, accuracy, consistency and timely reporting in line with IOM requirements.
• Produce monitoring reports on community‑based activities, supporting evidence‑based decision‑making and compliance with donor and IOM standards.
