Head of Platform Operations - IT

About the role

SENA Health is seeking a seasoned Head of Platform Operations to own the end‑to‑end delivery of IT, support, security, and platform services. You will drive reliability and scalability of our AI‑driven healthcare platform while leading a globally distributed operations team.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with the CTO to execute all "run" functions across the business.
• Lead support engineering, telephony, infrastructure reliability, and security teams.
• Ensure platform performance at scale for millions of patient interactions.
• Build a secure, high‑availability operations organization aligned with an AI‑first strategy.
• Manage incident response, monitoring, and observability across cloud environments.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Proven leadership of support or platform operations in a high‑growth setting.
• Experience managing distributed/global teams and working EST hours with 24/7 on‑call flexibility.
• Strong English communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Background in healthcare or regulated environments (HIPAA, SOC2) is a plus.

Required skills

• Deep knowledge of AI, cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and distributed systems.
• Experience with high‑availability real‑time systems such as telephony or VoIP.
• Familiarity with security frameworks and compliance standards (HIPAA, SOC2, ISO).
• Incident management, monitoring, and observability tooling.
• Networking, firewalls, and system security best practices.
• Modern application stacks: APIs, microservices, serverless architectures.
• Version control and workflow tools: Git, Jira, operational dashboards.
