Full-Stack Engineer – AI Focus

About the role

The Full‑Stack Engineer (AI Focus) will design and build scalable server‑side systems and embed AI‑enabled features that power our products. Working primarily on backend services while also supporting frontend delivery, you will collaborate with product, design and QA teams to ship reliable, production‑ready experiences in a fast‑paced environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain backend services, APIs (REST/GraphQL) and core business logic for web and mobile applications.
• Build and optimise database schemas, queries and data pipelines (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB) with emphasis on performance and reliability.
• Integrate AI/ML capabilities such as large‑language‑model prompts, embeddings, vector databases, retrieval‑augmented generation, classification and automation into product workflows.
• Connect third‑party services and external APIs (payments, messaging, analytics, authentication).
• Ensure scalability, observability and security through rate limiting, authentication, logging/monitoring and secure data handling.
• Contribute to frontend implementation using modern JavaScript frameworks when needed.
• Write clean, maintainable code, participate in code reviews and troubleshoot production issues across the stack.

Required profile

• Strong backend engineering experience with Node.js (Express) and/or PHP (Laravel) building production APIs.
• Solid knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases, query optimisation and schema design.
• Hands‑on experience integrating AI features, prompt engineering and working with LLM APIs.
• Understanding of scalability, security and system design principles.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, cloud environments (AWS a plus) and modern frontend frameworks.
