Finance Manager

About the role

The Finance Manager will lead all financial activities for the Lebanon operation, ensuring accurate reporting, robust internal controls and compliance with both group policies and local regulations. This senior position provides strategic financial insights to support business decisions and drives efficient cash and working‑capital management.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee month‑end and year‑end closing processes in line with group reporting deadlines.
• Prepare accurate financial statements and management reports.
• Review journal entries, reconciliations and maintain general ledger integrity.
• Ensure compliance with IFRS 17, local statutory accounting standards and regulatory tax obligations.
• Maintain and strengthen internal controls and governance according to group policies.
• Identify and mitigate financial and operational risks.
• Coordinate with internal and external auditors and support audit processes.
• Lead annual budgeting and periodic forecasting for Lebanon operations.
• Monitor performance versus budget and provide variance analysis.
• Support long‑term financial planning with senior management.
• Manage premium collection, claims payment, cash flow and working‑capital requirements.
• Oversee bank relationships, payment processes and supervise finance staff.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance; a master’s degree is a plus.
• Professional accounting qualification such as CPA, ACCA or CMA.
• Minimum 8 years of accounting experience, preferably in the insurance sector.
• At least 4 years in a leadership role managing a finance team.

Required skills

• Knowledge of IFRS 17.
• Familiarity with local statutory accounting standards.
• Professional accounting certifications (CPA, ACCA, CMA).
