Editor, Statistics (PhD Required)

About the role

CACTUS is seeking a Statistics Editor with a PhD to support researchers worldwide. You will apply your subject‑matter expertise to improve the clarity, accuracy, and publishability of scientific manuscripts.

Key responsibilities

• Review and edit research manuscripts to enhance clarity, coherence, and readability while preserving authors’ intent.
• Verify that statistical terminology, conventions, and scientific arguments are accurate and appropriate for the target audience.
• Improve presentation of complex findings to facilitate communication and journal acceptance.
• Ensure final texts meet high academic writing standards and adhere to journal‑specific guidelines and formatting requirements.

Required profile

• Completed PhD in Statistics (mandatory).
• Demonstrated ability to critically evaluate scientific content and ensure discipline‑specific accuracy.
• Excellent written English with strong attention to detail.
• Prior experience in scientific editing, peer review, or academic publishing is an advantage.
