Design Engineer - Electrical

About the role

We are seeking an Electrical Design Engineer to join our engineering team. The role involves translating project specifications into detailed, code‑compliant electrical designs, preparing calculation notes, and supporting the construction phase with accurate documentation.

Key responsibilities

• Interpret project specifications, identify relevant codes and standards, and clarify design inputs with senior engineers.
• Plan and prioritize work to meet deadlines set by the supervisor.
• Create design models, detailed calculations, and comprehensive drawings using Revit.
• Prepare material take‑offs ensuring quantities stay within project budgets.
• Produce as‑built drawings and assist in drafting Operations & Maintenance manuals.
• Communicate technical information via internal emails, meetings, and presentations.
• Provide guidance to junior engineers and CAD operators.
• Conduct QA/QC reviews of own and peer designs to detect and resolve discrepancies.

Required profile

• Engineering degree in Electrical (Master’s degree is a plus).
• 3–6 years of experience in the contracting/construction sector.
• Fluent in English and Arabic (French is an advantage).
• Strong attention to detail, quality, safety, and ability to work effectively in a team.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Revit for electrical design.
• Solid knowledge of electrical design and analysis.
• Practical application of relevant codes and standards.
• Experience with design optimization and material take‑off calculations.
• Ability to perform QA/QC on engineering drawings.
