Cost Controller

About the role

Le Gray Hotel is looking for a Cost Controller to join the Finance team. The role will ensure the integrity of purchasing, inventory and cost control processes while supporting operational excellence across the property.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor purchasing, inventory and cost control procedures to ensure compliance with company policies.
• Analyse food & beverage costs, sales performance, inventory and operational data to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
• Maintain accurate inventory and Point of Sale (POS) data, including recipes, menu items and product costing.
• Participate in stock takes, investigate variances and ensure precise inventory reporting.
• Prepare and review cost control reports, providing insights for informed business decisions.
• Collaborate with Finance, Food & Beverage, Purchasing and other departments to strengthen controls and maximise profitability.
• Support budgeting activities and the effective use of inventory management systems.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Hospitality Management or a related field.
• 2‑3 years of experience in cost control, inventory control or finance within the hospitality industry.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with high attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills, with the ability to work independently and within cross‑functional teams.
