Business Technology Analyst

About the role

The Business Technology Analyst bridges business needs and technical development, translating requirements into actionable specifications while monitoring market trends and competitor activity to shape product strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Engage with internal stakeholders to capture and document business needs for new tools, modules, and enhancements.
• Translate business objectives into functional and technical requirements, creating requirement documents, workflow diagrams, and user stories.
• Continuously track industry trends, competitor releases, and emerging technologies, producing regular reports with insights and recommendations.
• Collaborate with project and product managers throughout the product lifecycle, supporting feature prioritisation, sprint planning, and acceptance testing.
• Identify process gaps and propose improvements for requirement gathering and competitive tracking.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Experience in business analysis, product research, or technology strategy.
• Strong analytical, critical‑thinking, and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.

Required skills

• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development processes.
• Experience writing user stories or product specifications.
• Use of competitive intelligence or market research tools.
• Basic understanding of UX principles.
• Ability to interpret data and create dashboards or insight reports.
