Atelier Coordinator

About the role

The Atelier Coordinator acts as the bridge between purchasing and the workshop, ensuring every garment piece is produced correctly, on schedule, and to the required quality standards. The role monitors the entire production flow from fabric receipt to final fitting, catching and resolving issues early.

Key responsibilities

• Track each garment piece from fabric arrival through to completion and fitting readiness.
• Ensure the workshop receives the correct fabrics, trims, and embroidery supplies on time, and follow up with purchasing when items are missing or delayed.
• Verify quantities used against ordered amounts, and maintain records of leftovers and waste.
• Perform quality checks at each production stage and address problems before they reach fitting.
• Document mistakes, reworks, and losses, noting what happened, where, and who was involved.
• Provide management with a concise weekly report covering progress, delays, recurring issues, and waste.
• Liaise with suppliers and external workshops when deliveries are incorrect.
• Support the Atelier Manager in planning workload and prioritising team tasks.

• Strong attention to detail and ability to spot errors early.
• Proactive and organized, with good follow‑up skills.
• Effective communication with purchasing, suppliers, and workshop staff.
• Comfortable handling data and maintaining accurate records.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines while maintaining quality standards.
