Telephone Operator (Seasonal)

About the role

We are looking for a friendly and attentive Telephone Operator to join our Front Office & Guest Services team on a seasonal basis at our hotel in Beirut. The role involves handling all inbound and outbound calls, providing information and support to guests, and acting as the communication hub during emergencies.

Key responsibilities

• Answer all incoming calls, route them to the appropriate extensions, and record messages accurately.
• Manage guest requests such as Do Not Disturb, confidential status, and wake‑up calls (both personal and group/crew).
• Provide guests with information, assist with external calls, and forward complaints or special requests to the relevant departments.
• Serve as the hotel’s communication centre in emergencies, maintaining complete records of domestic and international direct dial calls.
• Coordinate telephone charges with the front‑office reception and ensure timely billing.
• Monitor TV channels and public‑area music systems to guarantee proper functioning.
• Keep the telephone directory, staff listings, and emergency procedures up‑to‑date, and maintain a tidy workstation.

Required profile

• Hospitality Management Bachelor’s degree or equivalent (e.g., Administration, Tourism Management).
• Minimum one year of experience in a customer‑service oriented position.
• Excellent oral and written skills in the local language and good English communication abilities.
