About the role
As a Technical Support Engineer in the Maintenance department, you will be the primary technical contact for the maintenance team, providing expert assistance and proposing solutions to improve equipment performance. You will work on new project preparation, training, and preventive maintenance planning for plant machinery.
Key responsibilities
- Support maintenance teams in solving complex technical problems.
- Prepare execution of new projects, including ordering goods, feasibility studies, and work monitoring.
- Validate project completion and acceptance with relevant departments.
- Organise training sessions for the maintenance team on work‑related topics.
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and Nexans regulations.
- Participate in local meetings and plant performance analysis.
- Manage preventive maintenance planning for all plant machines.
- Oversee subcontracting and outsourcing activities.
- Contribute to the preparation of the department’s annual budget.
Required profile
- Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in industrial electrical maintenance; experience in commissioning and startup of industrial machinery is essential.
- Good knowledge of industrial mechanics is a plus.
- Fluent in Arabic, English and French (oral and written).
Required skills
- Microsoft Office proficiency.
- AutoCAD.
- TIA Portal.
- WinCC.
- Ladder programming (PLC).
- Industrial electrical maintenance.
- Commissioning and startup of industrial machinery.
